Custodian · Equity Trust
Equity Trust's Transfer/Rollover Request form requires precise custodian details, account numbers, and asset direction. Docuplete collects everything through a guided client interview and maps it directly onto the form — ready to submit without re-keying a single field.
Equity Trust specifics
Equity Trust uses a proprietary Transfer/Rollover Request form for incoming transfers to self-directed IRAs. Common required fields include:
Process
The Transfer/Rollover Request form must be completed and signed by the account holder — not the advisor. Docuplete sends each client a unique link; they complete and sign it without needing to call your office.
Equity Trust sends the transfer request directly to the delivering custodian. Processing typically takes 10–15 business days, depending on the delivering custodian and asset type.
Once received, assets are allocated to the Equity Trust account. For self-directed assets, a Direction of Investment form will also be required — this can be included in the same Docuplete package.
Self-directed IRAs
A single Docuplete package can include the Transfer Request form and a Direction of Investment form — both populated from one client interview session. Clients don't fill anything twice.
For alternative asset transfers (real estate, private notes, private equity), the asset description field is often detailed. Map it once in Docuplete — clients fill it consistently every time.
Use conditional logic to only show the asset description field when the client selects in-kind transfer — keeping the interview short for clients who are liquidating and re-investing.
Equity Trust requires the account holder's signature. Docuplete collects it electronically with OTP identity verification — producing a legally defensible audit trail.
Completed, signed Equity Trust transfer forms are automatically saved to your Google Drive folder — no manual downloading or filing.
